In this study, a calcination process was used for the synthesis of crystalline ZrO2 nanoparticles from an amorphous zirconia synthesized by co-precipitation method with different pH titrations. ZrO2 nanoparticles showed different crystal structure and particle size, after calcination. The crystalline ZrO2 nanoparticles was characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), SEM, Reflectance and FT-IR. The results of XRD showed that after calcination process, the synthetic pH was increased 7 to 12 for ZrO2, and the crystal structure transformed from monoclinic and tetragonal to pure tetragonal structure. According to TEM observations and SEM analysis, it was found that the nano-sized ZrO2 has an average particles size of 15-25 nm. |
