Transparency and high heat resistant of polymer materials have gained much attention in the field of next-generation flexible electronic devices such as display, solar cells, e-paper and etc. We prepared novel aromatic polyesters from an ordered-sequence aromatic dichloride (SPOBAC) and cardo typed aromatic diols via an interfacial polycondensation. The glass transition temperatures of the aromatic polyesters were in the range of 233-284℃. Based on TGA and TMA data, they exhibited excellent thermal stabilities. They also had good mechanical properties with modulus of 1830-2390 MPa. The optical transmittance for the films (ca. 60μm thick) was over 80% at 450-800 nm. |
