제목 | Characterization of Nano Ag - HAp composite by microwave assisted electroless deposition |
초록 | In this study, Using a novel microwave-assisted process, nano-HAp-Ag composites was fabricated from a solution containing AgNO3 salts and ethylene glycol. HAp The detailed microstructure of the fabricated composite was investigated depending on the amount of AgNO3 salts in the starting solution. These starting powders were weighed to coincide the stoichiometric HAp with a molar ratio of Ca/P = 1.67. The powder was mixed homogeneously by stirring it in de-ionized distilled water for 2 h. The pH of the initial solution was about 3.8. The pH of the starting solution was adjusted to 12 using a pH meter by the addition of ammonia solution. Subsequently, the suspension with a controlled pH was kept in a microwave oven which was operated with microwave. AgNO3, 99.8% was used as a source of Ag and ethylene glycol was used as a reducing agent. First, AgNO3 were dissolved in an ethylene glycol solution and stirred for 30 min at room temperature to achieve a homogeneous dissolution. The color of the solution changed slowly from colorless to light yellow after ultrasonication of the solution for 5 min, HAp powder was mixed in the solution and irradiated in a microwave oven. Material properties and mechanical properties were investigated. Microstructure and morphology were investigated by SEM & XRD. Bio-compatibility was investigated by MTT assay. |
