제목 Molecular Design Strategy of Donor-Acceptor Type Blue Fluorescent Emitters for Efficient Deep Blue Organic Light Emitting Diodes
초록 We describe molecular design strategy of blue fluorescent emitters for efficient deep blue organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs). We designed asymmetric Donor-Acceptor (D-A) and symmetric A-D-A type deep blue fluorescent emitters with spiroacridine donor and triazine acceptor. By changing linker group from phenyl to toluene and xylene, deeper blue emission was achieved without loss of luminescence efficiency. OLEDs with D-A type emitter DTXSAF showed EQE of 7.7% and deep blue emission with CIE coordinates of (0.149, 0.082). The horizontal emitting dipole orientation ratio of emitters in organic film was increased from 70% to 90% by symmetrizing D-A structure to A-D-A structure. Deep blue OLEDs with CIE (0.142, 0.116) and EQE 8.5% was fabricated with A-D-A type emitter BDTPDDA. The molecular design strategies described herein can be applied to donor-acceptor triplet-triplet fusion emitters or thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters for efficient deep blue OLEDs.
