Electrochemical Capacitance of Activated Carbon/NiO film Asymmetric Electrochemical Capacitor |

In this study, activated carbon (AC)/NiO film asymmetric supercapacitor cells have been assembled and characterized in 6 M KOH aqueous electrolyte. AC with high porosity was prepared from petroleum pitch by potassium hydroxide (KOH) chemical activation for negative electrode material. And, nano flake-shaped porous nickel oxide (NiO) film on nickel-foam substrate was prepared by a simple chemical bath deposition (CBD) technique in combination with annealing process for positive electrode material. The electrochemical performances of the AC/NiO asymmetric supercapacitor were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 6 M KOH solutions. |
