In this work, the influence of chemically grafted multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) on viscoelastic behaviors of MWNTs/polypropylene composites has been studied. Pristine MWNTs were chemically grafted by polystyrene (PS). The characteristics of chemically modified MWNTs by Fourier Transfer-Raman spectroscopy (FT-Raman), X-ray diffraction (XRD). The rheological properties of PS-g-MWNTs/PP nanocomposites enhanced with increasing the PS-g-MWNTs content. These results were supposed because of increased surface free energy on PS-g-MWNTs, resulting from the interaction between PS-g-MWNTs and PP. |
