Fabrications of Nanofibers Containing Inorganic Fillers in Dye-sensitized Solar Cells Using Electrospinning Technique |

Several types of nanofibers which contain inorganic filler materials have been prepared using electrospinning technique. Poly(vinylidenefluoride-cohexafluoropropylene) and 2 types of inorganic filler materials were used to fabricate nanofibers. Electrospinning parameters such as viscosity and flow rate of the solution, distance and voltage between the collector and the tip have been optimized during the experiment. With optimized electrospinning parameters, we could manufacture nanofibers containing inorganic filler materials. The existence of filler materials in nanofiber web was confirmed with SEM. Observed morphological differences among fibers show the variation of the weight percent of the filler. To verify the effect of these fibers on DSSC, we applied them to DSSC and identified their photovoltaic characteristics. Photovoltaic performances were measured by using solar simulator under AM 1.5. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data were also measured. |
