Flexible, Stretchable, and Conducting Polymer Nanofiber Webs for Smart Apparel |
초록 |
The emergence of realistic smart apparel requires integratable electrodes suitable for flexible electronic devices. Therefore, polymer conductive nanofiber webs (PCNWs) can be alternative for such applications due to air permeability and flexibility. Polymer nanofiber web (PNW) was first obtained by electrospinning a PVDF/catalyst solution and then PCNW was by electroless silver plating. This silver coated PNW, showing adequate conductivity (~104 S/cm), can be one of the best suitable dry electrodes for ECG(electrocardiogram), whereas the conventional wet electrode (Ag/AgCl jelly) is not suitable due to allergic skin disease caused by long time contact to skin in case of long time ECG monitoring. Apart from that, such flexible electrodes might be the alternative in fabricating flexible organic electronic devices and electromagnetic shielding, etc. Acknowledgement : This work was supported by the NRF (R11-2005-065) and the MKE (No.10033449). |
