제목 Hydrophobic Fluorinated Silica-based Films: Effects of Particle Size
초록 In this study, we present a simple and general method to fabricate fluorinated silica composites with hydrophobic properties for hydrophobic or water-repellent solid surfaces. Silica particles have been synthesized via the Stöber method and further functionalized by adding fluorinated groups using fluoroalkylsilane. In this process, five different sizes of fluorinated silica nanoparticles of varying diameter from 10 to 100 nm are prepared. By spin-coating the dispersion with fluorinated silica nano-composites and general binder onto the PET, a hydrophobic surface is obtained. Resulted hybrid composite particles were characterized by contact angle, XPS, SEM-EDS, UV-vis.
