To enhance the bioavailability of therapeutics and deliver therapeutic agents to particular tissues and cells, the ideal drug and gene delivery systems should have desired functional properties. To endow the delivery systems with active targeting property, studies were carried out on the incorporation of various targeting ligands to different delivery systems. To give the delivery systems with stimuli responsibility, we designed various drug delivery systems with stimuli responsibilities. The physical/chemical properties and drug/gene delivery behaviors in vitro or in vivo of prepared drug and gene delivery systems were investigated in detail. |
