Many drugs which have negative charge like Genistein are difficult to be used for transdermal drug delivery, because of their poor skin permeability. In this study, nanocapsules fabricated from the biodegradable polymers, poly(D,L lactide-co-glycoide) (PLGA) are used as a drug carrier. The cationic amine moiety was incorporated into the PLGA to make skin permeation of Genistein more efficient. The Genistein-PLGA nanocapsules were prepared by using an emulsion-evaporation method and characterized. The In-vitro and In-vivo skin permeation tests were also carried out to demonstrate improved skin permeability of the Genistein-PLGA nanocapsules. |
