제목 Structure and Property Characterization of Aromatic Polyazomethines Containing Ether Groups Synthesized by One-step Solution Polymerization
초록 Aromatic polyazomethines are well known as materials having excellent thermal stability and mechanical properties such as aramids and polyarylates. Nevertheless, it is difficult to polymerize high molecular weight aromatic polyazomethines due to complex polymerization condition and multi-step procedure. In addition, the processing of aromatic polyazomethines is rather difficult because of their low solubility in organic solvents and high melting temperatures. In this study, high molecular weight aromatic polyazomethines containing flexible ether groups in the main chains were synthesized by an efficient one-step solution polymerization and their molecular structures were identified by NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy. For the fibers or films fabricated from the aromatic polyazomethines, the thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties were characterized by using DSC, TGA, DMA, and electrical conductivity meter.
