제목 Synthesis of Aminated PVC membrane for Redox Battery
초록 In this study, we investigated optimum condition of substitution and elimination when EDA is introduced on PVC. PVC was prepared with 80% and 99% EDA at different temperature(RT, 50, 70, 90°C). Additionally, PVC solution in THF is also prepared at different temperature(RT, 50, 66°C). FT-IR was used to confirm the chemical structure. Morphology was observed through SEM and atomic contents were analyzed from EDS and XPS for ensuring the degree of amination(substitution). UV-visible spectrometer was also used to characterize the degree of dehydrochlorination(elimination). As a result, the maximum of 17.5% amination reaction and 98% Cl element removal rate are confirmed. Aminated reactants can be used as precursors for the synthesis of ion exchangers. In addition, 98% Cl element removal rate suggested the possibility of effecive PVC disposal that cause environmental problems.
