제목 Reversible Control of Microstructure on Thermosenstive Elastin-like Polypeptide Microbeads
초록 Thermosenstive elastin-like polypeptide microbeads (ELP μbeads) with different composition ratio of ELP and albumin were prepared by water in oil emulsion method. Addition of albumin improved the structural stability and controlled the porous structure of ELP μbeads. The phase transition of ELP μbeads was characterized using DSC. Albumin did not influence the inverse phase transition temperature (Tt) of ELP μbeads. The swelling behavior and surface morphology were observed by optical microscopy and SEM below and above Tt. The swelling ratio decreased and the porous structure disappeared as albumin concentration increased. Controlled drug release of ELP μbeads with prednisone acetate and LIF by triggering the change of surface porosity was examined. LIF released in ELP μbeads maintained the undifferentiated state of mESCs cultured on ELP μbeads. We suggest ELP μbeads have potential as a smart drug carrier and microparticular scaffold.
