To improve the power conversion efficiency in organic solar cells, most of the efforts have been devoted to the design and synthesis of conjugated polymers with broad and strong absorption and suitable LUMO and HOMO energy levels. In the dithienosilole(DTS) molecules, most widely used as electron donating group, a bithiophene unit is locked into a planar conformation while preserving the desirable σ-π orbital interaction leading to a low-lying LUMO. In this study, we synthesized push-pull structure copolymers based on DTS and electron withdrawing monomer by using stille coupling reaction and characterized physical, chemical properties by using UV, PL, CV and GPC and photovoltaic properties. |
