Hydroxylapatite (HA) is widely used as biomaterials due to its biocompatibility and osteointegration. Iit is the major component of tooth enamel which is the hardest part of body. The OH- or PO43- ions in HA can be replaced by fluoride, chloride or carbonate. Especially, apatites in our body are in the form of carbonate apatite. In this study, synthesis and surface characterization on carbonate calcium phosphate were performed using FE-SEM, EDX, AFM and XRD. Biological responses of osteoblastic MG63 cells, such as adhesion, proliferation, and gene expression were examined. |
