In this study, nanocomposties based on poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO) and graphene oxide(GO) were prepared by solution blending. Their morphology, thermal properties and mechanical properties were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), tensile test, and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA). DSC and tensile test showed that with increasing GO content in the nanocomposites degree of crystallinity decreased, whereas tensile modulus and strength increased. DMA results revealed that the mechanical behavior of PEO/GO nanocomposites showed that higher modulus than neat PEO and rubbery plateau above the Tm of the PEO which indicated that the PEO/GO nanocomposites formed physical crosslink structure. And PEO/GO nanocomposites exhibited heat-triggered shape memory behavior. |
