제목 | SYNTHESIS AND EL PROPERTIES OF HIGHLY PHENYL-SUBSTITUTED DIMETHOXY BENZENES |
초록 | Novel highly phenyl-substituted dimethoxy benzene, 1,4-bis(tetraphenylcyclopentadienone)-2,5-dimethoxybenzene(BTCDB), was synthesized by using Diels-Alder reaction of the diethynyl compounds and the corresponding bis(cyclopentadienone).[1] BTCDB was shown to have a good solubility in common organic solvent such as ethyl acetate, chloroform, toluene. Furthermore BTCBD has high purity, which should be essential for good electroluminescence(EL) performance. Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of the synthetic route to BTCDB. UV-visible and photoluminescence(PL) spectra of this material showed maximum peak at 305nm and at 410nm, respectively. To evaluate electroluminescent performance, a typical EL device was fabricated by the technique of vacuum evaporation under 1×10-6 torr. The device structure was m-MTDATA (600Å)/ NPB(150Å)/ BTCDB(300Å)/ Alq3(300Å)/ LiF(10Å)/ Al(2000Å).EL properties of BTCDB will be discussed. Reference 1. W.L. Yu. J.Per. Y.Cao. W.Huang. A. J. Heeger.
