제목 Dual BMPs-immobilized Polydioxanone Porous Beads for the Accelerated Bone Regeneration
초록 Sufficient reconstruction of bony defect caused by fraction, tumor resection, and skeletal deformities is often essential. Recently, autologous transplantation of cortical and cancellous bones have been considered as a gold standard for the effective bone regeneration, however, donor site morbidity and limited availability of donor materials are still remained as significant challenges in clinical field. To overcome these limitations, we prepared porous polydioxanone (PDO)/Pluronic F127 beads, and the dual BMPs (BMP-2 & BMP-7) which can induce osteoblast differentiation in a variety of cell types and stimulate bone regeneration were immobilized onto the pore surfaces of the beads via heparin binding. The release profiles of BMPs immobilized on the porous beads and their bone regeneration behavior were investigated by histological and micro-CT observations using rat model (skull defect).
