제목 Thiol-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube/gold nanoparticle composites
초록 Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were dispersed into thiol-functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The subsequent bonding of thiol groups with GNPs offered strong adhesion of GNPs onto the surface of functionalized MWNTs. Therefore, the covalently attached 4-mercaptobenzoyl moiety onto MWNTs can provide strong S-Au bonds to enhance the interaction between Au and MWNTs. The morphology of resultant composites was studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that gold nanoparticles are uniformly distributed on the surface of functionalized MWNTs. Elemental analysis (EA), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used to characterize the composites.
