The new donor moiety, 5-phenyl-5,6-dihydroindolo[2,3-b]indole (PhIDID) was synthesized and this donor moiety has not been reported yet. The donor moiety was synthesized in 3 steps and yield of final step was about 76%. Using this novel donor moiety, 1,3-bis(6-phenylindolo[2,3-b]indol-5(6H)-yl)benzene (mPhIDIDP) was synthesized to compare hole transport ability with 1,3-di(9H-carbazol-9-yl)benzene (mCP). In OLED device, driving voltage was decreased and current density was increased when mPhIDIDP was used instead of mCP. This work demonstrated that synthesized material’s hole transport ability is higher than mCP. |
