The vapor-liquid equilibrium data, measured for the Methanol/2-methyl-1-Propanol system at 50, 55, 60, 65and70℃ are represented in this study. The compositions of the vapor and liquid phases were analyzed by measurement of refractive index. The study show that the relation between logarithmic value of relative volatilities and liquid phase composition are expressed as a linear function and this line relationship of this system are stright and parallel line. For the data calculation, Mathcad 2001 program is used. From This relation, vapor-liquid equilibrium data are estimated and compared with the measured values to be in good agreement. This empirical equation can be applied to the Methanol/2-methyl-1-Propanol system.
