제목 Activated carbon coating on 3D printed and recycled polymer materials for antibacterial/absorbent function
초록 One of the most widely used 3D printing technologies is a Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) that can be used to create different kinds of products or prototypes from the polymer-based filament. In this study, activated carbon was coated on the 3D printed output materials, which were produced from recycled polymer to introduce multi-functions such as adsorption of harmful gas and antimicrobial properties. The activated carbon was synthesized by adding recycled PET to the pitch synthesis reaction, followed by our previous work. In order to find out which 3D printing structure is most effective for gas adsorption and antibacterial performance, various 3D forms were printed and coated by the synthesized activated carbon. Finally, a functional mask having adsorption of harmful gas and antibacterial properties can be produced by a 3D printing process and activated carbon coating technology.
