Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor. The treatment of osteosarcoma usually involves the surgical resection of tumor tissue. Unfortunately, residual cancer cells are often not completely eliminated. Therefore, in this study, Thermally Induced Phase Separation and 3D printing was used to produce poly-lactic acid (PLA) based bilayer scaffold for osteosarcoma chemo-photothermal therapy. In addition, to treat osteosarcoma, IR 780 was introduced into Mg-HA by wet chemical precipitation. The prepared Mg-HA-IR780 nanoparticles were coated on the upper scaffold by immersing in a solution in which gelatin was dissolved. As a result, morphology of the PLA based bilayer scaffold was observed by SEM. Moreover, the photothermal effect was observed after 808nm laser irradiation by IR 780. In conclusion, the PLA-based bilayer scaffold is expected to become a chemo-photothermal treatment advanced scaffold for osteosarcoma treatment. |
