Preparation and Properties of Fluoro-waterborne Polyurethane Coatings |

Waterborne polyurethane (WBPU) coatings were prepared by pre-polymer process using 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoro-1,4-butanediol (TFBD) as a chain extender. We used various contents of TFBD during synthesis of dispersions. Coatings water resistance, thermal stability and adhesive strength maxima values were found with optimum TFBD content. Due to good water resistance the coatings can be considered as a protective coating. |
