Polymer-protein bioconjugation has been widely employed in the field of biotechnology and nanotechnology. In this report, we investigate the self-assembly behavior via specific interaction between histidine tagged green fluorescent protein(GFP) and nickel complexed nitrilotriacetic acid-polystyrene(NTA-PS). The self-assembly behavior of the polymer-protein hybrid forms different morphology before and after nickel complexation in DMF/H2O solvent system using different polymer concentration. We synthesized NTA end functionalized polystyrene using Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization. The structures of polymer-protein bioconjugates are confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image. |
