제목 Si/Ti2O3/Reduced Graphene Oxide Nanocomposite Anodes for Advanced Lithium-Ion Batteries
초록 In recent studies for Li-ion batteries (LIB), reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been attempted to use as a conductive matrix that can support highly unstable silicon (Si) anode materials. However, since the Si/rGO composites prepared by mechanical complexation are prone to interfacial separation upon cycling. This problem of incomplete interconnection is thus expected to cause the capacity fading. To address this issue, here, we present a novel nanocomposite of Si/Ti2O3/rGO, preparing from Si, titanium dioxide (TiO2), rGO complexation. In particular, the creation of electro-conductive matrix of Ti2O3 (Ti3+), resulting from a partial reduction of TiO2 (Ti4+), could effectively alleviate the stress accumulation caused by the volume change of Si and facilitate electron and ion transport during repeated charge/discharge cycles. As a result, the presented Si/Ti2O3/rGO nanocompositea exhibit significantly improved cyclability and excellent rate capability when used as LIB anodes.
