제목 Lamellar Swelling in ARB-Type Triblock Copolymer by Self-Adjusting Effective Dispersity
초록 Generally, the domain spacing of block copolymers has been controlled by molecular weight. However, in the high molecular weight regime, it is hard to fabricate well-ordered nano-patterns. Instead of molecular weight, a new factor to control the domain spacing of block copolymer has been developed with ARB-type triblock copolymer comprising PS, P(S-r-MMA), and PMMA. RAFT polymerization was utilized to synthesize ARB-type triblock copolymer and AB diblock copolymer of varying molecular weight with similar dispersity (Ð). The influence of random middle block was characterized by TEM, SEM and SAXS in bulk and thin films states. It was shown that the ARB-type triblock copolymer exhibited ~ 40 % increase in the domain spacing compared to the AB diblock copolymer with same molecular weight and dispersity. Also by increasing random block composition, we analyzed the random block effect on the BCP morphology. These results were also compared with a theoretical viewpoint.
