Graphene quantum dots patterned by self-assembled silica nanostructures over a large area for optoelectronic applications |
초록 |
Size-controllable graphene quantum dot (GQD) structures has attracted interests due to their quantum optical and electronic properties. So far, most researches for fabricating GQDs have been performed based on flake-type graphene reduced from graphene oxide, which is difficult to control their sizes and to decrease size distributions. As a new approach to resolve the issue, we propose the application of a size-controllable nanofabrication by self-assembled nanostructures, which is used to pattern underlying graphene layers prepared by CVD method. Electron microscopy techniques were used to analyze the sizes of silica nanostructures as well as GQDs. Raman and photoluminescence (PL) analyses were performed after each patterning step. In the PL measurement, the emission peak of GQDs on the SiO2 substrate is shown at ~395 nm. Additionally, oxygen content in the GQDs is rationally controlled by the additional air plasma treatment which reveals the effect of oxygen content to the PL property |
