Flexible organic thin film transistor using low temperature processable polyimide gate insulator on plastic substrate |

Polyimide has been widely used in the microelectronics industry as interdielectric layers and passivation layers due to their excellent chemical, physical, and mechanical properties. Currently, the potential of polyimide as a gate insulator in OTFT has been increasing. In this work, we successfully synthesized fully soluble polyimide as a gate insulator and fabricated organic thin film transistor on plastic substrate. OTFT device performance was also optimized by surface energy control of gate insulator by blending method. Detailed synthetic route, device fabrication condition and electrical properties of OTFT on plastic substrate with soluble polyimide gate insulator will be presented. |
