The gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) containing D4-epoxy, poly(DMAEMA-co-MMA)s, and liquid electrolyte were prepared by thermal curing process. DMAEMA can provide its chemical stability and MMA can provide its high affinity to polar solvents. The GPEs were prepared by varying the ratio of D4-epoxy to copolymers, the amounts of liquid electrolyte, and different kinds of liquid electrolytes (EC/PC, EC/DMC, EC/DEC). We investigated electrochemical properties of GPEs depending on various mixing ratio (1:4~1:7) of D4-epoxy to copolymers. The ionic conductivity of GPEs was increased as the higher content of liquid electrolyte. The GPE exhibited the highest ionic conductivity when the ratio of D4-epoxy to copolymers was 1 to 5. The optimized GPE was electrochemically stable up to 4.5 V (vs. Li/Li+). The battery performances such as initial discharge capacity, C-rate properties, and cyclic stability will be discussed. |
