제목 Dextran coated Gold nanorods for photothermal ablation of macrophages
초록 We synthesized dextran-coated gold nanorods (DEX_GNRs) as a nanoprobe to permit the targeting of macrophgae cells. In this study, we synthesized thiolated dextran and conjugated with gold nanorods (GNRs) using self assembly reaction. We can find both synthesis of thiolated dextran through FT-IR and Ellman’s reagent and then synthesis of GNRs through TEM and UV-VIS. We demonstrate that the Au concentration of dextran coated GNPs taken up by macrophage cells can be determined using ICP-AES. We performed a cell viability test to examined the cellular cytotoxicity of dextran coated GNRs using RAW264.7 (macrophage cell line). We exposed to NIR laser in incubated RAW 264.7 cells with DEX_GNRs to estimate the photothermal effects. According to this experiment, we formulated DEX_GNRs exhibited non-cytotoxicity, which showed the highly efficient photothermal ablation ability in macrophage cells under NIR irradiation.
