제목 Thermally Stable Photo-Curable Cyclo-aliphatic Epoxy hybrid Material for White LED Encapsulant
초록 Cyclo-aliphatic epoxy oligosiloxane (CAEO) resin with high photo-sensitivity was synthesized by sol-gel condensation reaction between 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane (ECTS) and diphenylsilanediol (DPSD). Cyclo-aliphatic epoxy hybrid materials (CAE hybrimer) were fabricated by photo-cationic polymerization of CAEO resin. The fabricated CAE hybrimer had high transmittance (~90%) at the wavelength of 450nm, high thermal resistance against long thermal aging at high temperature in air, and high refractive index over 1.53. The CAE hybrimer was successfully encapsulated on blue LED chip without delamination between hybrimer encapsulant and LED device, and shrinkage. The photo-curable hybrimer encapsulant can drastically reduce the curing time of LED packaging to achieve high productivity in LED industry.
