9-(3'-(carbazol-9-yl)-(1,1'-biphenyl)-3-yl)-carbazole-3-carbonitrile (mCBP-CN) and 9-(3'-(carbazol-9-yl)-(1,1'-biphenyl)-3-yl)-carbazole-3,6-dicarbonitrile (mCBP-2CN) were synthesized as host materials for high power efficiency in blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes. mCBP-CN and mCBP-2CN showed triplet energy of 2.79 and 2.77 eV for energy transfer to as blue phosphorescent tris[1-(2,4-diisopropyldibenzo[b,d]furan-3-yl)-2-phenylimidazole] (Ir(dbi)3) dopant. mCBP-CN and mCBP-2CN showed maximum quantum efficiency of 24.2% and 21.3% in blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting. mCBP, mCBP-CN and mCBP-2CN measured cyclic voltammetry of 3.41 eV, 3.11 eV and 2.95. Driving voltages of mCBP, mCBP-CN and mCBP-2CN devices were 7.1 V, 4.6 V and 4.2 V at 1,000 cd/m2, respectively. Max power efficiencies of mCBP-CN and mCBP-2CN were measured to be 57.1 lm/W and 48.9 lm/W, respectively. |
