For successful transfer of organic solar cell technology from lab-scale into cost effective products, high performing technology at small sizes should be realized at large scales; We need to study how the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) morphology is affected by mechanism of film generation and coating techniques. Furthermore, when considering potential applications of organic photovoltaic products in various environments, we should pursue researches to fully satisfy requirements for practical applications of organic solar cells under various indoor and outdoor illumination. In the presentation, we developed new conductive polymers for large-area solar cell technologies and studied effects of the active materials on mechanism of BHJ formation and photovoltaic performance in large areas. This presentation will provide rational guideline for developing materials and processing techniques to achieve high performing large-area organic photovoltaic device under various illumination environments. |
