A peptidyl fluorescent probe (1) for In(III) was synthesized based on the peptide receptor using aggregation induced fluorophore, cyanostilbene. 1 exhibited highly selective ratiometric response to trivalent ions in purely aqueous solutions depending on pH. 1 showed a more selective ratiometric response to In(III) than Al(III) and Ga(III) at pH ranged from 5.0 to 5.5. Upon addition of increasing concentration of In(III), the significant enhancement of the emission at 600 and the decrease of the emission at 530 nm were observed with the excitation of 470 nm. The saturation of the emission intensity ratio with 5 equiv. of In(III) indicates 1 showed a sensitive ratiometric response to In(III). The binding mode study of 1 with In(III) were carried out using Job's plot analysis, pH titration experiments, and DLS measurements. |
