제목 Synthesis and characterization of self-healable polystyrene derivatives and bismaleimide using Diels-Alder reaction.
초록 Nowadays, many researches about polymers having self-healing property are proceeded and used in many fields. Above all, using Diels-Alder reaction between maleimide and furan is spot-lighted because of their reversible process. Hard coating materials like polystyrene are practical in commercial, but their films have brittle property. So we synthesized novel polystyrene derivatives with bulky structure, bismaleimide with flexible structure and compared the characterization with bismaleimides that have bulky structure sold on the market. For characterization, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used. Finally, we confirmed healing effect of polymer film based on the Diels-Alder reaction between bismaleimide and furan functionalized polymer.
