제목 | Dual therapy to treat tumor with magnetic nanoparticles |
초록 | Magnetic nanoparticles are used in various fields as biomaterials. Especially, it has great potential as a drug for treating cancer. However, low drug accumulation at the cancer site is a limitation of magnetic nanoparticles as an anticancer drug. In order to get over this limitation of magnetic nanoparticles, we attached materials containing polysaccharide conjugated photosensitizers (MPCP). Polysaccharides give magnetic nanoparticles the ability to target cancer, and photosensitizers allow photodynamic therapy (PDT) to increase anticancer effects. Also, magnetic field gives the magnetic nanoparticles a temperature of up to 43 degrees, allowing for magnetic thermal therapy (MHT). We detected cancer in mouse via MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). In addition, MHT and PDT dual therapy of MPCP proved to increase therapeutic effect in tumor. MPCP expects to take the technology of cancer treatment with nanoparticles to the next level. |
