Polymeric micelle is one of actively studied systems for a potent drug carrier due to its desirable features. The core of micelles is the space to load drug which has poor water solubility and the shell is protective corona which make them unrecognized during blood circulation. Micelles are very thermodynamically stable structure even below critical micelle concentration (CMC). However, when they are subejected to the severe condition of dilution by blood they can not keep structural integrity and dissociate. In this study novel amphiphilic molecules having polymerizable group, poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(ß-benzyl L-aspartate)-acryloyl (PEG-b-PBLA-acryloyl), have been synthesized and characterized. Consequently, micelles have been stabilized by incorporating photoinitiator followed by photopolymerization under the mild condition. |
