Solution processible liquid crystalline thiophene and anthracene derivatives for OFET applications. |
초록 |
Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) have attracted much attention in the past decade because of their potential as a cheap alternative for the current silicon-based thin film transistors. Fully extended π-conjugated molecules are essentially required for the achievement of high mobility. Good film forming properties and solution processability are also highly desired characteristics in an organic material of OFET applications. In the presented work we have designed and synthesized new liquid crystalline thiophene and anthracene derivatives and characterized their properties in various solvents and studied their liquid crystalline phases. Also possible application in photopatterning is demonstrated. These materials are expected to show good OFET properties which are currently being studied. |
