Preparation and characterization of AgNPs attached aminated PES(polyethersulfone) to reduce biofouling in water treatment |
| 초록 |
In this study we have immobilized silver nanoparticles on polyethersulfone (PES), Ag-PES was prepared by first nitration (NO2-PES), then amination (NH2-PES) and then reduction to replace amine with silver nanoparticles. The formation of NO2, NH2 and AgNPs on PES was confirmed by FT-IR, Samples were further analyzed in XRD and SEM-EDAX. Antibacterial activity of the samples was carried out to investigate the disinfection performance of the samples on the Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli). Ag-PES showed better performance and controlled release of silver ions. |
