| 제목 | Bioactive Consituents of ginseng species in Vietnam |
| 초록 | Panax genus belonging to Araliaceae family includes 12 species and most of them have been longly used in the World, especially in the Oriental medicine as valuable tonic and for treatment of certain diseases. Vietnam has such a high biodiversity with thousand of medicinal plants, in which three Panax species (P. vietnamensis, P. stipuleantus, P. bipinnatifidus) are wildly growing. This presentation firstly reviews the phytochemical profile and various pharmacological activities of Vietnamese ginseng to date. Lastly, since Panax bipinnatifidus, one kind of ginseng, has been used in the ethnomedicine but there are very few publications yet. Our study for the first time on phytochemical components in the aerial parts of the title ginseng led to the isolation of various oleanane-type saponins, associated with chemotaxonomical meaning and quality control of the title ginseng. |
