제목 Effect of dry temperature and silica content on Nafion/silica hybrid membrane for zinc-bromine redox flow battery
초록 Redox flow battery is an electochemical energy storage system. The redox flow battery offers advantages in the energy efficiency, long life-cycle and low costs compared with other technologies. Nafion/silica hybrid membranes are prepared using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) sol-gel reaction and employed as the separator for Zn-Br redox flow battery.  Nafion membranes are swollen in the methanol-water mixture solvent. Then the TEOS is introduced into the membrane for the sol–gel process. Physico-chemical properties of the hybrid membranes which have various silica contents are characterized by SEM-EDX, ion exchange capacity(IEC), water uptake and conductivity.
