Synthesis of the sodium styrene sulfonate (NaSS)-methacrylic acid (MAA)-methyl methacrylate (MMA) membrane for capacitive deionization process |
초록 |
Ion-exchange membrane has been developed in various industries, due to a high transport number of counter ions and wide applicability. In this study, a copolymer for an ion-exchange membrane was synthesized by solution polymerization usingNaSS,MAA andMMA. The crosslinked membranes were prepared using PVA that the crosslinking of the completely miscible blend system occurs via dehydration between carboxylic acid and hydroxyl group. Glutaraldehyde as the second crosslinking agent reacts with the spare hydroxyl group of PVA and forms. Basic membrane properties of the prepared membranes were investigated by chemical and electrical methods. |
