제목 Preparation and characterization of polyacrylic acid hydrogels in thepresence of zinc particles by gamma irradiation
초록 In this research, a series of different polyacrylic acid hydrogels containing two kinds of zinc particles (zinc oxide or zinc chloride) were synthesized by the gamma rays from a 60Co source. The effects of various parameters such as zinc ions' concentration (0, 0.04 and 0.08 wt%), irradiation doses (25, 50 kGy) were varied and investigated in detail. In addition, gel content, pH-sensitive (pH 4 or 7) swelling ratio, UVVis diffuse reflectance spectra of of zinc particles in hydrogels, and the stick force to the pig's skin mucosa were characterised. Moreover, antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli strains were observed on solid growth media as good evidence for applications.
