Photovoltaic cells based on conjugated polymeric materials have many advantages such as flexible properties and large-area substrates, which reduces the manufacturing costs. Generally, CT-type polymers are designed by incorporating donor and acceptor units, since they can absorb as much as solar energy by lowering bandgap. Also long side-chains on the backbone are added for increasing solubility to raise degree of polymerization. In this study, derivatives of quaterthiophene(QT-12) and benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole(BT) was introduced as a donor and acceptor unit, then poly(QT12-alt-oBT) was polymerized via Stille coupling reaction and characterized by UV, CV and GPC. |
