제목 | Preparation and Characterization of Sodium Caroxymethyl Cellulose Hydrogel by γ-ray Irradiation |
초록 | Carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) is an anionic water-soluble natural polymer derivative, which is widely used in food, toothpaste, laxatives, water-based paints, detergents, textile sizing and various paper products. It is primarily used because it has high viscosity, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic. In this work, crosslinking of CMC using γ-ray technique was studied to form the hydrogel. The concentration of CMC in the experiment was 5∼40%, and molecular weight was 90,000, 250,000, and 700,000. γ-ray irradiation was carried out in the range of 5∼100 kGy to evalute the effect of irradiation dose. The gel fraction and swelling behavior of CMC was measured as followed the ASTM D2765. The chemical structure changes of γ-ray irradiated samples were investigated by FT-IR. |
