The proper electrode material for capacitive deionization (CDI) should have several features such as ion adsorption capacity, stability, cost, and so on. Therefore, carbon materials have been considered appropriate for CDI among various possible materials. Also, desalination performance of CDI could be mainly contributed by optimized pore structure of carbon material. In this research, novel carbon material for CDI which have hierarchical pore structure was fabricated by salt templating method and deionization performance of fabricated carbon was evaluated. |
