Calcium phosphate (CaP) are have attracted a great deal of attention in biomedical fields and broad due to their properties such as biocompatibility and bioactivity. Despite their excellent biological properties, CaPs still have some problems from a theranostic standpoint. Therefore, many materials scientist have made effort to develop the single products with functions both imaging and osteogenic properties for theranostics. In this study, the iron-substituted calcium phosphate (Fe-CaP) microspheres were synthesized using a hydrothermal method. By reduction-annealing the Fe-CaP microspheres, Fe particles were extracted from synthetic Fe-CaP and the magnetism of particles was enhanced. Our study indicates that the fabricated multifunctional Fe-CaP microspheres are quite useful for the theranostic agent combined with magnetic resonance constant agent and osteogenic bone substitutions. |
