Synthesis of Poly(arylene ether sulfone)s with Controlled Molecular Weights and Narrow Polydispersities through Chain-Growth Polycondensation |
초록 |
A well-controlled condensation polymerization method for aromatic monomers is essential to investigate the self-assembly behavior of rod-type aromatic polymers, because conventional polycondensation provides aromatic polymers with a broad range of molecular weight. Recently, so called chain-growth polycondensation method has been developed to synthesize well defined aromatic polymers. In this study, we utilized the chain-growth polycondensation method for the synthesis of well-defined star polymers which have interesting three dimensional shapes and high application potential as nano-sized molecules. Details of synthesis and characterization of various poly(arylene ether sulfone)s with multifunctional initiators will be presented. |
